Hey gibbi,

that's a good catch, they must have been hungry. Whereabouts did you fish?

Did you catch them at least close to the minor or major times?

The times are usually spot on. But if there are lots of hungry fish around, the day rating is less important.

cheers
I fish chimney lake bc canada, it was just after major time two star day yesterday it was a one star yesterday and had the same great results, last week with four star day at the major it was tuff fishing
What were the general weather conditions like on those different days?
I assume you went fishing during the day? Probably way too cold to go ice fishing at night 😊 brrr
The four star day was sunny,  cloudy on the good fishing days, haven't tried at night will need a light, they don't  hit hard just little nibbles so you have to be quick
Would be interesting to see how the predictions work out for you in the future.

You can only really tell if solunar times work or not, if you observe them over the course of a whole lot of fishing trips.
Most people who keep a fishing diary find that they catch fish more consistently during the major or minor times.

Of course there is no 100% accurate way to tell if fish are biting or not, as there are a whole lot of other factors involved that cannot be predicted. If it was always a 100% chance to catch fish then fishing would be way too easy and no fun at all.

I personally never tried ice fishing.
What kind of bait are you using?
Do you use some chum to attract fish to your position?

cheers
