Hi everyone, can anyone explain to me what the 'extra' (to major & minor fishing times) 'slices of pie' indicate on the fishing clock?
thanks

Hey Barra,

not so sure what you mean ?

You mean when the times are in bold letters underneath the clock?
That indicates when the majors or minors are close to sunrise or sunset.
I don't understand either...Do you mean the white and purple parts? The white is day time and the purple is night.
The actual fishing times, major(the best) and minor(the second best) are all the green pies.

The blue pies? they are for the tide times, aren't they?
ah - now I understand.
You probably meant the blue areas, haha.

Yes they indicate the tide times.

itsaboat now you got me confused - where is the purple area?? LOL.
Yeeessss.....Daz seems to have trumped us...mmmm :)

In my defence...I say that I have my location set to an inland area witch does not have tides. Therefore, I do not normally see the blue pie !!

The background of the clock. The top part is white for day time. The bottom is purple or pinkish (I am colour blind, CP3) so it could be pink or purple and that is night time !!
thanks for your contributions guys...looks like tide times is the answer I was looking for
cheers Barra
All of the pies that are green are the real fishing times, either major (the best) or minor (the second best).
Easy to explain the extra times are.   Calculated by sunrise and sunset times which is usually good times to.fish using the file by looking at sunrise then looks at other colors on your chart the more colors that overlap at your desired time are the better options. Like it a rising tide tis only 10 am but the the barometer is on the rise the temp is nice see all the good factors are in you favor even though it says poor fishing still can be a good time in your area because the factors that make good fishing are right for you fish tables are gust a guide  use all the options and learn what is your best time. The rule stands like this a rising tide is best. 3 days before full moon and 3 days are the best moon days or nights. . Seas with a moderate chop are good fishing days flat or rough beaches not good  cool te water temps better fishing wind direction is important a wayward breese  is great casting . A facing wind pushes the bait closer to shore use these and you will never have a bad day fishing. Always remember this most important rule No one, or no thing can promise you a great day catching.
