different baits

Terry1 says:
was bassin' and nutting was lookin', thru in a float with peanut butter bait. within 30 seconds in was getting tagged. small perch but still something was hungry. so i decided to try black licorice (anise) and lo and behold !! wasnt even looked at, i have always heard anise was a fish attractant, doesnt seem to be true, put the peanut butter on and again it was getting tagged again within 30 seconds. yes it is a different color and shape, but, the peanut butter had very little oils left in it, and 30 seconds would not have been enough time for the oils to be an attractant in the first place. just seems odd the "fish attractant" was a no go. perhaps more tests are in order... anyone else like to try it out and see what they come up with? You dont have to use peanut butter BUT black licorice is the test sample.

Thanks

I left a post today in the Fishing Reports thread, from what i witnessed ,Salt impregnated - soft baits was working very well in short order, the Fisherman was using about 6-8lb test, a Bait-casting reel,(REVO), and we were on and next to a bridge casting out over a creek that joins a large Ozark lake - Bull Shoals ,the Bass were striking those Tubes and crawdad soft baits like kids on Candy. These were from Bass Pro, i do not work for them, just bought some , will try them out this week ,cause i was so impressed.
