I am new also on this forum,

i often go on marina mall island , where i catched shari or ray fish
and Mina also with the peer is nice place with open sea.

A question also if you have good spot for night fishing???
and how can you go on lulu island because this island is supposed to be closed? if you can how do you go on it ???

And of course any information about new fishing spot is welcomed.

Yes you actually do need one. They started checking before it got hot when I slowed down on fishing (scuba diving now). If u go to their website, the fines are not worth it. It moved as well. Spent a whole day looking for it to find out it was moved and the website was still wrong. It's at the chamber of Commerce on the corniche. It's 120aed for the year or u can buy for shorter time. There is not much fish now. I'm pretty sure I know seeing how I scuba every weekend. The majority are deeper water over 10m down. I have a few spots where I saved the gps location. Guaranteed to catch big sherry, hamour(big!), and few others. Anyways, good luck!!

Hi Jib,
Abu dhabi is greatfor fishing...There is mussafa , then you have the Marina Mall near the flag...and Mina Port is good during season it is kingfish and baraguda also , groupers too.

Went to Aryam this weekend. We did a overnight/daytime trip. 3 guys with our families. We caught around 30 fish with maybe 15 being keepers. The others were some poison fish and 1 puffer fish. Daughter caught a young hamour as well.

May try Mussafah bridge or Al Bateen area tonight. Wish me luck!

I WENT TO ARYAM WITH A COUPLE OF BUDDIES TODAY MORNING AROUND 6AM TO 10AM AND CAUGHT AROUND 45 MEDIUM SIZE FISH USING SQUID STRIPS.MEANWHILE I KEPT ONE ROD RIGGED WITH NEEDLEFISH HOPING TO CATCH SOMETHING LARGE,IT WAS UNTOUCHED.

IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE BAIT OR MAYBE THE RIG ITSELF THAT WENT WRONG.I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD ADVICE ME WITH THE PROPER RIG SUITED FOR ARYAM TO CATCH HAMOUR OR SOME OTHER BIG ONES.

ALSO THE DIFF KINDS OF RIGS WE CAN USE FOR ALL SIZE FISH.WITH ILLUSTRATIONS IF POSSIBLE.

Hi Mankavilboy,

Is your needlefish is alive? I was there also this sat morning, catch a lot of medium fish but no luck for Kingfish.. No bites for fish bait.. You should use wire line for that Rig with 2 hooks.. Ordinary hook and treble hook (3 hooks ). treble hook should be tie on the end of the line.

Is there anyone who can tell which side of aryam we can catch Kingfish, queen?? From 6 am to 10am my fish bait haven't touch at all..:sick:

Hi Guys - It seems Fishing prohibited in beside Mussafah bridge. Last week I went there and saw they covered net over the shore and put a Red Flag near. I couldn’t see anyone fishing. Please clarify fishing prohibited during Ramadan time?
And update more details for any fishing spots apart from Mussafah bridge.

Went to Aryam today.... Pretty sad. Is it me or is Abu Dhabi doing way too much construction? It seems that everything is being blocked off which is only allowing us recreational fisherman to fish in the same spots. Well Aryam is now dead. Its a great spot to camp, but for fishing..... Well.. The water is really dirty now. I set out 4 Crab Traps. Not 1 crab today and 2 days ago. Usually I would feel nibbles from the little bait fish. Nothing. The bait stayed on the hook the whole time. No nibble. I changed bait several times and nothing. Even left a shrimp on second pole for 3 hours. Brought it back in and it wasn't even touched. Pretty sad. Also they seemed to close the access road to the lagoon area where the flamingos hang out. They put a pile of sand and rocks across the road. Time to venture off and find a new spot.

I heard about al aryam here so we decided to go for the first time for overnight. We didnt catch anything & the place was nt comfortable, lot of flies & dirty yeah. My 2.5 years old daughter at the beginning was very happy playing on the shore but at the end of the day she got lots of wounds cuz of the water was nt clean plus the flies! She even kept repeating ( water No ... water No) :(

Could anyone suggest nice place for camping & fishing.

HI Mo_123, i saw your message in the website, I cant call myself as a pro angler but i do love fishing after all, about the equipment for fishing buy the good and better quality of reels and rods, as for me I'm using a 4.2 meters rod and a okuma reel, for the line is the heavy duty one. The hooks line, rigs and others stuff I made it myself its better than buying the ready made. for fishing spot and other places you can email me. billyperales@icloud.com

Yes you need to apply for fishing license at eservices.aed.ae to avoid the penalty of 4000aed . License will cost only 120aed and can be claim in 2days. Create your acount and apply
