Metric and imperial parameters.

mr. Jay says:

Hello from Canada, been using this app for a few years now. Didn't know you can use it on pc.

To the developers, I know you can choose between imperial and metric systems.

However here in Canada we use both systems. Piticuarly when fishing

Air temperature, we use Celsius, water temp Fahrenheit.

Wind speed. Kmph or knots. Boat speed, mph

Water depth feet. However the odd downrigger is in meters. The rest is in feet.

Distance is km and nautical miles.

Is there anyway the developers can make it so one can choose each parameter

To suit each person?

Thanks

Hi Jay,

That sounds very confusing, how can you guys still figure out what is what? Haha

I'll see what I can do, on the new weatherclock we actually have this more flexible setup already, but it's currently only available to premium subscribers.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion, much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

We're pretty much used to it. I forgot measuring fish it's centermeters and feet and inches. Weight is pounds and oz.

We do have lots of asian people here in Vancouver that stare at you when you tell them I caught a 22 inch fish or whatever.

haha, yeah I would stare at you for a little while too until I do the inch to cm conversion in my head, haha.

I can sort of convert feet, pound and knot, then it gets a little complicated.

What about having both?

You could have a box (or line) which displays all the selection at the same time but leave the main clock as is.

For example. If you select metric for the clock. Then have all the parameters for imperial shown in a small box (or line) next to or under the clock.

That way there is no need to select each item one by one.
