I didn't really think that Bass fishing is a thing in Korea, but it turns out that you can even catch them in the heart of Seoul - one of the biggest cities in the world. Who would have thought...

The river that flows through Seoul is called the Han River. 
It's big, but there are only a few spots where you can legally fish in the city.

There is not much fishing information available in english so it took a little while to figure out where to buy gear and where the fishing spots are. But we eventually got everything sorted and had a blast fishing here.

Next I'm hoping to try some more remote spots in the country side.

Quite often fishing is very good in big cities.

People wrongly assume that fishing will not be any good and so they go to places away from the city. This of course leaves the fish to thrive in the city waters.

This can be seen in your video. With legal restrictions limiting the areas you can fish, you could expect those areas to be busy or even crowded. But your video shows only a few other people there.

I can use Sydney as an example because I know Sydney very well. You can go anywhere on any day and you will almost never see anyone fishing in the harbour. Yet the fishing is so good there has been at least 2 TV shows made about it.

Thanks for the video. I should get my act together and start making some vids too...But I would need someone to hold the camera. That would probably mean getting a girl friend which is a scary prospect...haha

well you could also use a tripod to hold your camera with the added benefit that a tripod can't complain about anything ?

But I reckon if I got my tripod to do some work it would find a way to complain :)

At least with a girl friend you can trick them into fetching another beer...Even in mid-complain they can be tricked into getting more beer !!:)

The hard part is training them to leave the toilet seat up...and teaching them how to use a camera. 😊
