For those that don't know. Most of the southern half of Australia is just coming to the end of a week long heat wave....We had a four day heat wave the week before, so we are used to it

I measured 55C in the shade under my caravan. 65C inside the van with the air cooler going full.

The thermometer on the back verandah which is of course in the shade, measured 46C. But my IR lazar thermometer said that the verandah thermo was actually 48.7C.

So the UN-official but witnessed top temp here (16km out side of Lockhart NSW) was 48.7C in the shade air temp. But I reckon we were well into the 50's...

How cool is it where you are ?

that is a bit hot. You could slow cook some meat and vegetable stew.
Just put everything in a pot and leave it in your caravan for a day
How're you keeping your beer cold?

It's pretty warm in NZ as well. Haven't had rain for ages.
Thermometer is only showing 30C at the moment. But it feels hotter.
I guess you'd find a bit cold and would have to wear a beanie if would visit me.

That is probably the best review they have ever had...They should have to pay for that...But then again it is like 50 something C outside but my beer is cold because it's in an Engel...mmm catch 22

Krickey it's 30C there ???...fairdinkum, you would have to put your beer in an Engel to DE-FROST !!!

Mate, I have the beanie and Ugg boots ready, right along side the mittens, just in case it drops below 41C ...

I remember back in 1994, I was living at Beverly Hills (Sydney Aust) and it hit 52C. But the radio station that recorded the 52 was not "official". But that was just the one day...this thing has gone on for almost 2 weeks...
