Gold Fish

For those that don't know, I am a full time house sitter. Basically I look after peoples homes and pets when they go away on holidays etc.

The house I am currently sitting has an outside fish pond with gold fish. I have sat this house about 7 times. In the past, I admit, I didn't take that much notice. But this time I have been keeping notes. I have been here since Nov last year, so almost a full year.

I have noticed that when I feed these gold fish during a major or minor time it is like a frenzy. They will start fighting each other for prime position before I even start throwing in the food.

But, when I feed them outside of a major or minor time it is completely opposite. They still eat but it can take 2 or 3 minutes for them to start. It will take about 30 to 45 seconds for the first one to appear, then it is a very slow march for the rest to join in.

During a major or minor time all the food will be gone in less than 10 minutes. Outside of the major and minors times there will still be food floating on the pond an hour later.

10 months of observations and I am totally convinced that the solunar times work with back yard gold fish ponds.
