you guys might have seen this already.
But I found this video hilariously funny and at the same time informative.

So if you ever get yourself into a hooked situation, try to remove the hook yourself.
I hooked myself on a treble hook once and went to the hospital to get it removed.
Wish I would have watched the video back then

What,

That all sounds great but before you got hooked you didn't have alcohol with you, did you?
So unless the hook is super clean ( I don't think it would be after catching some fish ) you should still go to the EMC room to make sure there will be no infection or you could do nothing and take your chances.

Been there done that !

Years ago dad did a similar thing to pull a tooth. He tied a string on the tooth and to the doorknob. When he called mum she opened the door and BINGO tooth pulled for free.

I wasn't born stupid. I took lessons!!!

Last year, I hooked my self 2 times bass fishing. First time in the nose, but the weight bounced off my head and pulled the hook out. Luckly, I didn't get a nose ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha. 2nd time in the throat, but this time it was harder to get out. I caught a 3 lb. bass. I leaning over the fish trying to get the hook out. The fish flipped up and the treble hook got me through the skin of my neck. It pierced the skin about a 1/4 of an inch and stuck out, of course the bass was still hooked and flipping out. It hurt like hell, until I could hold the fish still. I learned a lesson, don't go fishing without wire cutters in your tackle box. I had to hold the fish for about 10 minutes until I found the 2nd fisherman could cut the barb off. Yea, it bled a little bit.
