Pretty Fish

To me this sand shark looks fully female with lipstick and mascara and the remorah looks pretty cute.
I'd have asked It for a date but plentyoffish.com Is easier, though I did take It for a drink.
It was caught and released In Townsville.

I think this Is an onion trevelly but not sure.

Well done !

That is a Diamond Trevally.

I have never seen them called a sand shark before, but why not? Also known as shovel nose shark or banjo fish.

It is better looking than anything you will find on pof 😊 and probably a lot less chance of infection if you took it home for a BBQ !! ;)

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks itsaboat,
I've taken that aboard. I did google the names up but I've yet to learn to google image search.
Had to google remorah as I thought It was spelt memorah lol
It's much easier to ask. I'm going to start taking pics of the bait fish In future, hearing, sardines and mullet for the crab trap but the hearing look a lot like the reef fish I catch. I'll get onto that when this wind stops a bit. Think wet season Is starting.
Cheers
No worries.

I didn't Google. I just happened to know what they are.

Google image search is however, easy. On the Google main page click "images". Then in the search box you will see a camera icon and a search icon. Click on the camera icon. Then click on "Upload an image". You will then see a browse button. "browse" to the folder with your image in it. Select the image you want and click "open". Then click "search".
Cool, Thanks again,
I'm not a google image search virgin anymore. It works like I thought, but diamond trevally worked better.
sortov makes sense when I look at the pic. Like carl off the simpsons when he saw a bullfrog and said "bullfrog, what a stupid name. I'd have called them chatwazzas".
Back with more questions In the future, ty
No worries.

If you will back in the future with more questions...I will be back later on with more answers 😉
Any fish is a pretty fish. As long as it is on the end of my line.:DImageImageImageImage
Good One Bill, Thanks for sharing man.
This Is all I got yesterday but I saw some huge fish.
Threw that back In as live bait but nothing looked at It.

Now that is one I don't know. Do you know what it is?

Where did you catch it? I would like to see if I can ID it by location.

Yes, nice going Bill. That shark looks like what we call a gummy shark.
Very interesting, Thanks guys! Here is my pretty fish. Beach trout, and beach pompano in Venice FL. Spring break is a good time to beach fish in FL. I'm bored, all water is froze. Can't fish in MD. Can't fish right now. Thanks guys! AndyImageImageImage
I see more that just pretty fish. congratulation on all  Your catches.<3:D
Thanks! Ice is gone, and I caught some fish this morning. I will make a report with pictures when I get more time.
Gidday,  Was looking at Bills gummy shark again. That would keep me and the cat In fish for months.
Looks like good fishing there Andy. What worries me where I fish around here Is ppl Jumping In the water around or near my line. Lately I move away from them. These waters are deadly Crocs, Sharks, Stonefish and lots of nasties. This Is a tourist town but they know not what they do when they jump In.

Hi itsaboat, I think It Is some sort of cod, rock cod maybe. I caught It by the port of airlie. Airlie Beach North Queensland, Aus. 4802
I use this spot because (apart from the mad fishing) It has shade and structure. a boat wreck.
None of the water around the shore Is very deep here though I expect to get out to the ship tomorrow at Hideaway Bay and It's not real deep there either. I will get a fishing boat soon. I'm waiting for cyclone season to get one for the right price.
Here Is pretty much the middle of the great barrier reef and I know there Is some awesome fishing out there.
This Is where I caught the coddy thingee with my fishing bud.

I'd rather be posting pics of fish but maybe today.
