Spots for spinning from shore in Abu Dhabi

tayanc says:
Hi all,
I will be in Abu Dhabi during the dates between 10.02.16-06.03.16.
Not my first time in the country but will be 2nd time for fishing. Before I hunted around mangrov area by kayak and it was really productive (a big hamour, couple of bream and a barakuda). Except barakuda and hamour caught by lures, breams are on bait.
This time I would like to try my chance from the shore. And only by spinning (lures) with light tackel (2500 Reel with a 0,25 Mono on it..)
Would you guys give me some tips about
-good spots for spinning from shore
-lures for day and night (normally natural colours with clear water-open air,and reverse for mudy water and so on but maybe you also have some killer lures for special speices in these waters..)
Any tip will be very welcomed!
Have a perfect day!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Here is a thread which might be of help - https://www.fishingreminder.com/fishing-talk/4-fishing-talk/596-fishing-places-in-abu-dhabi

You can also catch bream on lures. Try small floating lures or small poppers. The rig you are using sounds perfect for small lures and poppers.

You will need fairly accurate casting skills. If you need to practice, just remove the hooks off the lure and try casting into a bucket. When you can cast the lure into a bucket 7 out of 10 times you are ready 😊 . Look for anything over hanging the water...trees, logs, boats, jetties etc. Cast the lure or popper right on the edge of where the thing over hangs the water. You want it to look like an insect has fallen into the water...Then the real skill comes into play...

Do nothing !! When an insect or small animal falls into water, it keeps still. Then after 15 seconds or so, it will start to slowly make it's way back to land. So you want your lure to look the same...After 15 seconds give the rod tip a very small twitch just enough for the lure to make a few small ripples. Then wait 10 or 15 seconds and twitch the lure again. Keep doing that until you get the lure back...or catch a fish 😊
Thanks a lot for the valuable ınfos!
I will try and share the results from here.
Take care and best luck!
