Major Fishing Times

Hello ,  I live right in the middle of Texas with lakes rivers all around me . I'm 53 and have fished all my life .  I've always fished when I could and when I wanted to but never have I paid any attention to the moon phase and such .  This might be a silly question from an old man but when it says a good day for fishing have you had good luck all day or is it slow until the major times ?  I can understand the major times would be ideal time to go but if a person couldn't make the major time is it still decent before or after major time ?
Thanks for reading and any of your experience on this subject would be appreciated ,

Hi

I live on the coast (southern NSW - Australia) and the minor / major times do work.
There are also other factors like: cloud cover, size of swell, incoming tide, location, skill.

Nearly every time, the fish come on the bite for an hour or so right on the best times.
I swear by it!
It's almost if they have a 'truce' in between times...

Maybe in a river (or lake) it's different.
Maybe the fish have to be more opportunistic. Who knows?

Why don't you start a logbook and tell us if it works?
