Ive just got my first surfcaster (for xmas 😉 ) and im looking for a decent spot to go in Auckland, i wont be using a kite or contiki so dont want anywhere with big swells... any thoughts?
Does anyone do anywell off curran st, westhaven - by the harbour bridge ?

I don't surfcast much but this seems to be a good spot in Auckland to check out.

hey yeah thats an ok fishing spot ive been there a few times caught a couple snapper and 1 or 2 kawai:)

Last time I launched at this spot with my kayak, there were at least 3 big fishing charters and a couple of smaller boats fishing near the channel markers a few hundred meters from the shore at high tide.

With so many boats maybe not too many fish will make it closer to the shore within surf casting distance ☹️
