Hi All

I've been wanting to create better fishing weather forecasts for some time and designed some new charts.
Check them out on the main fishing times page

You can switch between temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed and direction, humidity and cloud cover.
The forecasts are for 7 days and have a 3 hourly resolution.

I think they are quite useful to quickly gauge fishing trends for the next few days.
For example to check if the pressure is on the rise and if it will be nice and calm on an upcoming good fishing day.

The forecasts are for your selected Location and they'll show in Celsius/Farenheit/Kmh/Mph depending on your display settings.

Planning to also add more chart selections for tide times and fishing times soon.

Hope you guys like it.

And as always - any feedback or suggestions are much appreciated.

Happy Fishing

Looks good Mark.

Data must be correct, cos where I am now is in drought and your chart says bugger all rain for the next 7 days

One suggestion thou...The white text is not good on that light blue background. Black text might be better. Especially along the base where it says "mist" "fog" etc.

Cheers

Hi mate, thanks for the feedback.

Good suggestions, I'll play around with the text colours a bit and see if I can come up with something more readable.

It doesn't say mist or fog anywhere though...

The very bottom line with the moon, sun, clouds etc...also has mist and fog...

Hang on, you are looking at your location. Try mine, Warwick QLD.

A screen shot of mist and fog.

ah - I see. You meant the icons. I thought you actually had the words on your screen and couldn't
read them properly because of the text color.

Yeah.

But all that white text too...If you look at the day line in my screen shot, see the "Mon" is in black. Now compare that to the temps in the light blue bars above it. The "Mon" is clear and easy to read, while the temp numbers are tending to fade into the light blue background.

It is only a minor cosmetic thing...and it might just be me...but, hey, no electrons will be killed if you try

hahaha - you never know about those electrons...
can't change the text color on the icons unless I design my own icons.
but can play around with the text color on the bars and other elements.

Hi Mike,

sure - they show just fine on my phone.
Are you unable to see them on your phone?

Cheers

The weather charts only show on the web site...not the phone app.

Is it the App you are using or the web site ?

Mark,
The charts are only on the website, not the app

ok I see.
Yeah only on the website. I wanted to keep the app simple and to the point.
Maybe one day I'll add some weather charts to the app as well.
But wouldn't be able to say when.

Cheers

Might be something worthing thinking about for the Pro...

Mark,
I thought going pro on the app, the app would be more informative than the website

Mike,

that would be quite difficult to achieve and to maintain, as on the website there is so much more room for information.
The difference between the free and the pro app is that there is an unlimited forecast and a fishing calendar.
I tried to be clear on that in the app description.

The goal of the app is to give a quick and simple overview of the fishing times.

But like I said, I might consider adding weather charts at some stage when time allows.
I think it's a good idea.

cheers
