Poddy Mullet Trap

Hello People,
I made a poddy mullet trap using a 2 litre juice bottle baited with bread, but all I can catch in it are little bream, the mullet just swim around and over it.

What am I doing wrong?

Try a little Fish oil on the bread and don't put it in to deeper water' try it near a boat ramp works for me.

The other suggestion I got was to use breadcrumbs, rather than big lumps of bread, that helped. I have been putting it about 30 - 45 cm of water.
