Hi norwesta - didn't know there was a snapper ban in place.
Always during winter?

Here in South Australia there is a ban on the taking of snapper from 12 noon November 1 until 12 noon November 30.
This is a good initiative put in place by our local fisheries to help sustain our snapper fishery.

yep month long ban, during november.
coincides with breeding season,i think.
