Blowin' Bowen living up to its name

Hi fish-loving guys & gals; I'm semi-disabled these days but hope to get out  along the shore here soon. This area is so inviting at every watery nook & cranny - a fishing optimist's dream! At present we have a cyclone building & moving toward the coast + 20+KPH winds, which is great protection for 'my' fish for when it passes lol :)
Meanwhile I'll share a few pics from Bathurst Island in the Northern Territory where my cousins live:) ImageImage

Hi John,

thanks for checking in. Hope you'll get a chance to get out soon.
I have never fished the Northern Territory - but I travelled through there some years ago and it looked awesome for fishing.

What kind of fish is that in the pictures? Nice outdoor preparation - looks like they've been cooked over open fire?
Hey Mark:) I think they were a type of Trevally [maybe silver or white]? I didn't get a good look, as the Bathurst Island folk caught & prepared them for me way too fast lol:) It was a small gesture of thanks from the family, just before I left there on a quick trip through WA & NT. It was on an open fire & so tasty I wanted to stay...
I see there is a little breeze heading your way :)

Are you doing a lap ?
The fish looks great! How did you cook them? I bet it was a great tasty meal for you
