Been trying my luck at Waihi Beach and Bowentown over the past few days without any luck.
The only thing I hooked into was a Stingray.

I tried a few spots in the Bowentown Harbour from a boat.
Then I tried a few spots along the Waihi Beach side with the drone at around 400m offshore.
Didn't even get a nibble. The baits came back untouched. I tried a whole range of different baits.
Wonder where the fish are, they must still be hanging around further offshore in deeper water.
I talked to some other local fishos in this area and they didn't seem to be getting much either.

Will keep trying further up the Coromandel Coast.
