can you fix the stats on your weather please , Your site shows wind at 24 ,,, its more like 90 with strong wind alert from the B.O.M < it has been way off for months now ,,,
But for me, I have found the weather on Fishing Reminder to be the most accurate I have ever seen...
It amazes every time when it say rain at 3pm...and it rains at 3pm !!!
I have noticed the temps are out for my current location. But that is because the weather station is far away. So it gives temps for the weather station which can be 10c different to where I am...But that is the Gov and BOM to blame because they only have 900 or is it 9000 weather stations to cover all of Australia. 900 or 9000 for all of Australia, either way is not enough...

Cyclonic winds...ie wind speed to be classed as "cyclone"...
Category 1 cyclone --- Sustained wind speed of 63 to 88 kph with wind gusts of 91 to 125 kph
If it felt more like 90 kph, did it feel like a cyclone?
If the forecast is 24 kph, then you might expect gusts of 50 kph which is not much under cyclonic force winds.
24 kph is pretty strong.
I was in Darwin when Thelma hit...A category 5 cyclone (I did 2 cat 4's before that). Thelma was big!! They say a bigger one hit Queensland....I say PROVE it !!! At cat 4 the test equipment is at risk and at cat 5 which is 280 kph + the test equipment gets destroyed...by the wind.
Wind warnings in the past week or so for Melbourne have been gusts of around 100 kph and we have all seen the damage that caused. With the southern storm activity and unusual cold fronts sweeping across southern Australia in the past few weeks, gusts of 100 or 110 or even 120 kph with a forecast of 24 or 25 would not surprise me.

agree the reports are very accurate exept the wind ,, all other "Rain" "Temp" ect are great ,,,, the BOM gets it right ,,, just a pain flicking from FR to BOM ,,,
Are you sure that you have selected Greenwell Point ?
I lived at Culburra for about 3 years before I started house sitting. Both Greenwell Point and Culburra use the Jervis Bay station and I never had an issue all the time I was there.

Yes, Nowra is as per your screen shot...You should change your location to Greenwell Point !!
People think Nowra is a coastal city, but in fact it is almost 25km inland. It is sheltered by the hills and does not get the same weather as the coastal towns. In summer it can be 40c in Nowra and 30c at Greenwell Point and Culburra at the same time.

90 kmh is pretty hefty wind. Almost 50 knots. That would be the kind of storm that can do real damage. Are those the max gusts or the average wind speed we're talking about. If it was average I'd probably hide in a bunker somewhere Was it that stormy on that day? Here on the site the average windspeed is displayed. I should add the max gust speed as well. Will try to do it in the next update.
Anyway, what is the url of the B.O.M. site where you get the correct information? I'll need to have a look to compare with the infos here for your selected location.
the wind here was lifting roofs , there were trees down and damage to power lines , our power went out 3 times ,,,, even the local radio ststion transmitted a wind warning 2st recorded 106kph as there max , over the last week i have had 3 sms messages from the BOM with 2 amber and 1 red alert , , today so far wind is 12kph and looking good for a fish , will take pic`s if i get out , Gravel
why change my location to greenwell point ,, thats where you are ,, i live in north nowra and fish on the river at NORTH NOWRA ! So now we have that cleared up lets leave it to mark ,,,,
