FISHING DURING HIGH SPEED TIDE CONDITIONS

Hingol says:
Hi Everybody, the local fishermen while angling the saltwater creeks and the great Indus Delta recommend fishing during a 5 day cycle when the flow of the incoming and outgoing tides have a much slower speed. Period during high speed tide is named as JUAR whereas the low speed tide is bang. I have personally experienced the tide during high speed that runs like a flash flood. Whereas, many articles mention better fishing when the water speed is higher but it has never worked for me to take a catch home during high speed tide conditions even though Fishreminder showed best fishing times. Where am I going wrong? I am looking forward to an expertise advice about this aspect....thank you

Hi Hingol,

Most of the time I say you are not doing anything wrong...But in this case, I do see something you are doing wrong...

The local fishermen say fish a 5 day cycle when the tide flow is slower...So do that !! You are trying to do something different to what the locals say so you will not get the same results.

Yes, I too have read many articles and watched many videos of fast water fishing. But it is almost ALWAYS fast water. In this case, the water flow cycles from slower to very fast...So the fish will know to expect slower water flow which would be much easier for them to feed. Yes, fish do know about cycles...Just look at salmon or tuna for example, they migrate and breed according to a cycle.

The cycles that fish know about can be predicted, tide, moon, sun etc. Hence Fishingreminder !!

The locals say fish the slower tides...That does not mean you will not catch fish on the faster tides, but it does mean you will catch less.
