Hi Den,

Welcome to Fishingreminder.

One trick that works very well for bream...Use a small floating lure or a small popper. Cast the lure under or near over hanging branches, jetties, boats etc. Anything that throws a shadow or makes a structure for the bream to hide in. Then let the lure sit there for 10 to 15 seconds. Then just jerk the lure so that it moves just a little bit. Repeat that until you have the lure back.

What you are trying to do is imitate an insect that has fallen into the water. If you retrieve the lure in a constant movement it will not look like an insect. So small jerky movements with 10 seconds or so between.
Thanks heaps itsaboat :)I take my hat off to you mate that's a very clever way to go about it well done !that's what it's all about, bream are hard to lure out of snags and not to mention the countless tackle you lose casting fallen structure ,floating the lure on top is a clever way to lure them out ,much appreciated and will be giving that a shot when I head out later this week ,good on you
You're welcome mate.

I look forward to hearing about your success...and seeing the photos 😊
