I live in Devonport NZ and I am surrounded by great fishing seas and beautiful streams / rivers. In the last 2 years I have got serious (in a fun way) about fly fishing and using the kayak. I have 2 boys who are only just starting to show an interest although at ages of 5 and 7 I think I have a couple more years before they start to dominate use of the fishing gear.
