Welcome to the forum! Nice to have you aboard. I lived in Utah for a few years and did a bit of ice fishing but it didn't last more than a few trips heres what happened. I didn't have an auger
or a tent or shelter so I would always go with some one else when they went. As a guest I didn't have much control over how things were done but on my last trip with someone else we didn't have a shelter the weather turned really bad we got lost in a blizzard and ended up getting back to our truck around 9 at night. I somewhat enjoyed the sport but I decided I needed to find a different fishin friend cuz with that one it was a little too dangerous. we fished for laketrout yellow perch and walleye.
I just fish when its not snowing now days. keep asking.... some one on the forum feels the need to fish when its frozen and can converse with you....Good luck and welcome!!
