Anybody have a working crystal ball in Winnipeg? We've had a really mild winter and the ice was off the lakes in March, but there was no sign of a spawn. The season has been open for 3 weeks, and nothing is moving! Caught some 12" snot rocket pike at St. Malo, and a few in the LaSalle River in St. Norbert, but I haven't heard of anybody nailing anything big around here. Even the Red River Rats are strangely quiet these days. I'm heading east into the Whiteshell this weekend, has anybody heard what's going on at Big Whiteshell, Caddy Lake or Falcon? I'll sub a report once I get back - good or bad.
