Its trout and salmon time here in patagonia, spinning and fly from a fishing kayak . Check out atlantikayak mdq made here in argentina. Best time ever, and one day I will catch a fish.

Hi warneford

Sounds awesome. Patagonia is on my list of top destinations to visit.
I've heard that there is also some pretty good hiking there. Would be interested in doing some nice long distance hike combined with some back country fishing.
Hope to see some pictures of your adventures. And good luck catching fish.

I'll check out the atlantik kayak - I've got a hobie and unfortunately it just cracked - hope it can be fixed.
I will try to post something vagely photographic soon. The atlantikayak is indestructable, self bailing and easy to put on the car roof. You are right about the hiking here.Think horses too.
thanks mate - did you try your atlantikayak in sea conditons? Is it tracking well?
Had a look at their website - looks interesting but unfortunately no english version.
No sea trials yet, I am still assesing the performance envelope. The lakes can be hairy, so caution at the moment. The thing goes straight on its own, swings paralel to the swell in wind, and seems to go over waves not through them. I intend to test the max limits with a flexifoil kite in wind which will be interesting. The bottom is like a cross of a kayak front end and a windsurf tail end, drawing about 6 inches of water so in theroy this could really shift. I hope to stay on the thing long enough to report a success, maybe if I cant catch a fish I could run one over.keep the faith .
