Hi,I live in Australia's Capital, Canberra. I am 46 years old and have fished saltwater most of my life, in the last last 3 years I have been fishing the freshwater lakes in and around Canberra with mixed results.
I joined as I was searching the net to better understand my Anglers Almanac 2011 bookwhen I came across this site. I am hoping that by looking at both the book and this site it will better my chances of catching a Native Australian fish, a Murray Cod or Yellowbelly (Golden Perch)B). As I have only caught Redfin (English Perch) and European Carp both introduced species and regarded as pests in our waterways.
Here is hoping .

Hello Shaun, from West Virginia, USA. I fish fresh water here of course. Mostly for Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass. There are no natural lakes in the state, but lots of rivers as we are a very mountinous area. The impoundments are fun to fish, and are somewhat varied in their structure. I'm hoping to do some catching tomorrow, rather than a lot of fishing. 😊 Good luck with your freshwater fishing. S. Tracey (Trace)
