I was told it was a rock bass? Who knows. I was just so excited to catch one. We let him go so he could grow.

I was gonna say the same thing rannie68 ... ah well it may just be the first anything ... Your a good sport for posting it for everyone to see and for releasing it if your not going to cook em up. Crappie by the way are delicious.

Nice catch man, just make sure not to hold the fish like that next time... its been known to break their jaw. Try to let the water support the fish or hold its tail up so your not putting the jaw in an un-natural position.
