A very nice trout. Do Eastern Brook Trout have more colour when they spawn?

Yes they do. Eastern Brook spawn end of October here and the males especially turn very reddish orange on their undersides. I will try to post a photo or two of them at that time.

In northern Ontario we catch them in late April and early May. They have beautiful multi colours. Thanks for responding. We love speckled trout.
