although we prize ourselves on catching the larger red belly ones like the second on the left, the 'kaffa' (i.e. palm size) are the best in terms of flavour.

river fish dont grow as large as open sea species... and this is a bathtub that they are in ....so all are mature and we always return the small ones if we catch them
