Nice Catch. Dear Dax, I was in Jubail on Tuesday / Wednesday 25/26 th. March. I fished at Al-Nakheel, Fanateer (near steak house/ yacht restaurant) and Al-Faruq district. I only caught 3 small fish !!! . There was a lot of sea weed. I followed the best fishing times suggested by this site, used fresh peeled prawns and Squid as bait , Pasternosters rig and small hooks. But no luck . Dax, can you guide me where I went wrong. Any tips and other fishing spots in Jubail. Also where in Jubail can I buy reasonably priced fishing rod and reel so that I can buy on my next trip to Jubail. Thank you so much, Muhammad Riyadh

Hi Muhammad, your gears and setup are ok, it's just that, this time of the year, we normally encounter the problem with sea weeds, even the anglers in Khobar are also having this issue with sea weeds. That is why, we seldom go on fishing during this time, unless if it's an offshore fishing. here's the coordinates for the tackle store in Jubail, they have a lot of rods and reels to choose from : 27.014206, 49.665867 (check it in google maps for the direction) Good luck :)

Hi Muhammad, well, it depends, sometimes it last for a couple months or more. It's quite common here (sea weeds) during summer season..
