Nice :) You are lucky. Here in Aust the bag limit for abalone is 2....Don't go near seals, they can charge and they bite :)

I found this picture on google when I was trying to figure out what was the red fish that I've caught... Funny to read that the seal was checking on you... because the same happened to me, and I was kayak fishing on soft plastics too πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Haha! Might have been the same seal at the same place. It was in Totaranui in the Tasman area. I was really shocked by him. Almost cut myself with a knife I was holding.

Hey Igor, well this is actually not a Red Moki. I got it wrong back then. I believe it is a scarlet wrasse :) I see lots of Red Moki when I go diving and despite their name, they are actually more brownish with stripes.
