Nice T-shirt !!
Not bad going on light gear. I can't make out what the rod is, but with single foot guides it's not meant for fish like that. Coupled with a Shimano 4000FB and that is a pretty good effort :)
Did I mention that I like your T-shirt ?? I have a better one...but of course I have :)

thanks hat :-)
itsaboat, the rod is a berkley dropshot IM6
It works really well for casting softbaits around a SUP or kayak and I caught much bigger fish with it. No problems.
On a paddle board the fish would drag you across the whole bay before the rod, guides or line could break. I wouldn't use it for fishing off the rocks. Fishing with light gear is definitely more fun for me :-)
Funny - I lost this same rod once on a boat ramp at hight tide. Almost two weeks later I found it again washed up on the shore in between the rocks 50 meters aways from the boat ramp. It was all overgrown with little mussles and stuff. I couldn't believe my luck :-) I cleaned it up and caught heaps of fish with it since. That must have been almost 7 years ago now.
Next time I'll show off my better T-shirt! ;-)
