What is this fish please?

I'm guessing silver or black drummer. I thought it was a ray bream got excited and shot it. Was it a mistake? Is it good to eat?

Silver drummer !!...The silver drummer sometimes has a line under the eye. Link in your other photo.

Yeah that's what I thought. Strangely it's not supposed to be good eating, but it was actually quite delicious. I won't take one again though because they are slow growing and not very sustainable.

But it is a very smelly fish I can tell! Fish is fishy but this one has a very strong smell!😂
