They are dolphin fish also known as mahi mahi. Very fast growing and very good eating. They are pelagic. They make a noise like dolphins hence their name. The "do gooders" object to the name. So they are called by the Hawaiian name mahi mahi.

Fun fish to target trolling with small squid baits tipped with needle fish. I anchor my six line spread with an Iland black hole.
