Commonly known as a 'Grinner' and is a species of lizardfish. Often caught around reefy areas. Edible but mostly thrown back or used for bait. Can make for expensive fishing if using soft plastics....

we call them a Grinner in Qld. Apparently not good to eat. Too many bones. The other day I was filleting one and used as bait.Worked well. When you catch grinners, you move on...
