Hello Rozario,
Thanks Matey. I used ballyhoo as live bait caught at the same spot.
This is at the Jumeira Open Beach next to the break waters.

Hi Yasrkasem,
Thanks,
Its allowed to fish on Jumeira Beach provided you have a license and there are no swimmers or bystanders around. There is always a chance of hooking em' instead of a fish ;-) So safety is first on priority.
We usually go early in the mornings when the beach is calm and no one around. Otherwise in broad day light fishing off the breakwater rocks is preferred.
I use a 3.5m rod which I picked from Dragon Mart( The best place for rods). A Penn Sargus spinning reel the 6000 series etc. The gear I use is a overkill. One can still use use lighter tackle and catch the giants.

Yes right from the flag onwards is Jumeirah Beach
Hmm as for other spots you could possibly try Garhoud Bridge, Maktoum Bridge, Dubai Creek. Etc.

Hi Rozario,
Prawns is the best. But you need to hook really tiny pieces of em' since the ballyhoo's have puny mouths and you will need tiny hooks too.
Your most welcome Rozario we will let you know when we are going next for the big catch ;-)
